In addition to the usual post-purchase comments of "You paid HOW MUCH for that reg? I know a guy who sells them for a fraction...". :)

Yup, I agree. The Oceanic CDX5 with the GT3 and Alpha 8 Octo is a nice setup that has good performance, easy to service and not too expensive, and taken care of properly and serviced regularly could last you many, many years. I dive with the Oceanic EOS and the Delta 4.1 both with FDX10 1st stages for deep tech diving. Their great setups also. Good luck and have fun !
 
I'll bite. Go with a HOG and you will have a reg that breathes great, you can service it yourself with a class that is offered, service kits readily available and a third the cost of an Apeks. There are people out there like myself that have breathed off of their buddies Apeks xtx200's and still think HOG is the best. But whatever you'd like.

IMO oceanic is garbage.
