Zeagle Flathead VI
Out performs anything on your little list.

Well you can define "outperforms" any number of ways (I'd like to see verifiable evidence of that fact, btw). In any case, IME, Zeagle regulator dealers are few and far between in Ontario. You don't see many of them and it's rare that you see one in a store.

Apeks is my choice. They will "outperform" any type of diving that can be imagined and the ATX50 has proven to be extraordinarily reliable, consistent, and freeze-proof.

Sure here you go

The work Zeagle has done on the Apeks Regs since they bought it in house in 2000 is mind blowing, as are the impartial numbers on the Breathing machines.

Numbers below. as requested

Scubapro Mk 17 with a G250 or X650 second stage. Great breathing performance, bullet proof cold water performance, from a company with a widespread dealer network and a history of providing parts and service support on their regs for decades.

Apeks. I own 10 sets for trimix to 300', deco, argon and single tank stuff. Use them all year round in Canada and am still in long after the SP's freeze up under the ice. Best thing is you can rebuild them on a pitching boat and only need max 5 tools to do so.

I always like to ask what you consider cold. For us its -20 deg C air temps, 32 deg F water and 2' of ice over our heads and a 1000' penetration to deal with in February. Based on my experience, a regulators true cold water performance isn't really seen until about 34 or 35 deg F.

BTW, Michael, the Aqualung Titan LX is an Apeks ATX second stage, and the changes SP made to the Mk17 over the Mk16 are all copies of the DS-4, but the SP rep didn't like it when Dan and I pointed that out in the repair course last year.

Go with the apeks!

Ther Apex / re-engineered US Divers reg is poorly machined and free flows badly in cold cold water. Go Posiedon if your serious about deep safe teck diving.
