I'm looking at buying either a DC1200 or the Sea&Sea DX-1G.

Why should I choose the 1200 over the DX-1G?

I'ld like to know!

Thanks for your input!

You shouldn't. The 1G offers many more features. You should be looking into the 2G. Unless....

Cost is your issue? If not, get the 1G and shoot RAW format. Grab the S&S wide angle, macro lenses and two YS-110 strobes.

If cost IS your issue, go for the 1200. It doesn't have all the bells and whistles that the 1G or 2G offers, but it has many of them and takes a very nice picture too.
