I am changing out my Sherwood Shadow Plus Octopus for a standard octpus that does not integrate into my power inflator.

I have looked into the Dacor Viper Octo, Scuba Pro R190, and the Apeks ATX50, can I get your opions on why, cost, and experience with any of these. I plan on using it for Tech. diving.

Mixing regs can cause problems due to different intermediate pressures. Some are the same, some aren't. You need to do your homework before heading this way.

What regs do you have now?

If you are heading 'tech' then you will also want a long hose so your back-up reg is for you to use. Its worth getting a good one. It might be a good time to buy a complete new set of regs. Anybody doing tech diving has several sets, anyway.

I have a SCUBA Pro S600 2nd stage and MK25 first. The only octo I own is the Sherwood Shadow Plus, which is integrated into my BC power inflator.
