I like Zeagle regs and BC's. Zeagle is based in FL and the regs are made there. Zeagle BC's are back inflate which IMO are the way to go vs. jacket.
The perfect mask is the one that fits. No leaks. If you find a great mask buy two.
I like new wetsuits. They do not smell and wetsuits are not expensive. Look at Divers Direct (Largo) they have racks of clearance wetsuits, or did.
I like Apollo Biofins and Mares Quattro fins. Get Spring Straps.
I dive Aeris computers.
Buy a Intova light, they rock! Tovatec by Intova IFL660 220 Lumens Torch
Used is a good way to go on all but the Wetsuit and Mask. Make sure any used reg is serviced.
