WarmWaterDiver:I still like my NiTek 3 - and I've recently seen pre-owned ones on Ebay in the $200 to $300 range. If they had been available when I bought my NiTek 3, I probably would have bought a NiTek Plus or NiTek Duo instead, but I see no reason to switch currently.
In the "Computers" etc. forum you can see recent posts from folks who have 'bent' their Vytec computers, and talk about using them in gauge mode instead a lot of the time.
That was me who posted the thread about "bending a vytec" on a 220ft trimix dive because I forgot to use gauge mode. I am actually quite attached to my vytec and use it as a computer for about 80% of my diving. Since it doesn't do helium based mixes I can't use it for everything but I love the download software and I have logged almost 300 dives without problems. I looked at the nitek but found it hard to see the numbers under water.
