which exhaust valve

having just completed my dry suit training i am now about to invest in a suit.

i thought the choice was tricky enough when considering different materials, seals, accessories etc but now i'm further confused over exhaust valve location. all the theory concentrates on exhaust valves being located on the upper arm whereas the dry suit i trained in had the valve mounted on the wrist of the suit.

i found it pretty easy to use so now am uncertain of which valve location offers the best option.

any experiences and/or advice would be welcome.

A couple of fatalities in the UK have been blamed on wrist dumps, but I believe that clogging w/underwear was the culprit.

Other than that, many folks love the dumping ease of a forearm valve.

I can't stand them, they get in the way for me.

I prefer the exhaust valve to be on the upper left arm. To me it's easier to just lean to my right, raise my left elbow and let the suit dump. Wrist dumps seem to cause a little leakage with most people I've seen that use them. It's not the valve itself that leaks but the wrist seal from raising your hand.
