looking for a good reg for diving in CA waters ?

thoughts what a good price to spend. I love to save money but this part is also helping me breath so willing to spend a little.

All of the Atomics breath the same as they have the same design. So you could save some coin and use unsealed Z2s. Which is what I have done for SoCal diving.

As for DIN, sure if you have your own cylinder. Otherwise you will always be using the adapter for yoke cylinders.

I have a T2x and my wife has a Z2x. Her reg breathes just as well as mine. It's heavier and more of a pain in the butt to pack and carry but underwater I can't tell the difference.

I prefer mine, but as far as bang for the buck goes the Z2's a better buy.

I originally went with DIN but as Scared Silly predicted I was always having to lug around my yoke adaptor, which defeated the purpose. I gave up after a couple of years and converted the reg to yoke.
