We are planning a three day dive trip with diving on all 3 days on Catalina. What boat does everybody prefer and what are the benefits and cons of each?

what about price? Are the dive boats flexible on where they go? i dont want to be diving the same place every day.

Are you staying on Catalina or the mainland? If you are staying on the island both operations are great. The King Neptune has a compressor, Scuba Cat just takes tanks.

Both boats can give you a good experience, but of course I'm quite partial to Scuba Luv's King Neptune since I dive with them all the time. The boats will always try to mix dive sites when divers are on board for more than one day. The King Neptune is a more comfortable winter dive boat since it has a heated lounge area, there is an open sandwich and salad bar, and they have a compressor on board so you don't have to swap out your BCD and reg.
