Where/When to dive near Gulfport, Mississippi

Hey everyone! Just a yankee from Pennsylvania that will be in Gulfport, Mississippi from November until late January and looking for where, when and if there are still frequent charters during that time frame. After doing some research I found a few places in Destin and Pensacola. What do you recommend and what are some pro's and con's of each? I will be there for training with nothing to do on the weekends and plan to do a lot of diving. So, any input or information is greatly appreciated. You'll have more luck booking a charter out of Gulf Shores or Pensacola. Diving from Gulfport is not as common, even in the summertime.

Orange Beach or Pensacola are about the same drive time. To get a decent dive from Gulfport you would have to go out past the barrier islands (12 miles) and then not good vis. Every once in a while you might see a charter from Pascagoula to go to the rigs. But when I taught there except for an occasional private boat we went to the Florida Panhandle.
