Where to stay on the way to Roatan

We are long time friends of Roatan, I've worked at both AKR and Coconut Tree over the years. We are taking this new Spirit air flight, which lands in San Pedro Sula around midnight or later, all of the hotels we can find online are pricey and huge american types.

Does anyone know of a nice, cheap, safe place to stay in SPS?
