Does anyone in the Venice Beach area know of a nice place to stay? We're driving down from Orlando to spend a few days in Venice for the Shark Festival on the 8th -9th. Looking for a place nearby that has adequate parking (we're bringing our boat) and close by to the beach. Also…info on any of the area boat ramps would also be appreciated. Anyone else going to be there that weekend? Thanks! Eddie

Also,
We stayed at the BeachComber condos in Venice. We talked to Maureen - her and her husband manage it. Quality people - treated our children with kindness and respect. Be mindful though, it is a condo rental and they don't provide housekeeping and expect you to leave the place somewhat orderly and clean. It is also a bit expensive, but it was only 5 blocks or so from the Venice Beach dive, and right on a dive-able section of beach between Alahambra and Sharkeys (found some teeth there in the afternoon). Geared up in the parking lot and walked to the surf.

I have stayed at the Hampton Inn on US 41. Its 5 minutes away from the beach.

I stayed at a Holiday Inn I believe it was on Bypass 41 about a mile north of Venice Avenue, big parking lot if you need to park a boat. For boat ramp get off Venice avenue to the right just before the bridge as your heading west toward the gulf, the road winds around to the boat ramp area.
