Hard to find a reasonable priced pickup dive truck at airport. Any suggestikns on a rental op that is reasonably priced.

D&D Homepage tends to be mentioned most on SB. They took good care of us in January.

If their truck price is higher than you’re hoping for, look at their SUVs and cars. Unlike Bonaire, these folks are fine with people diving out of vehicles other than trucks.

Enjoy the trip!

Cur is not like bon. Do you really need one? For two divers hitting most shore dives the answer is likely no. We rent a compact or sub and works fine for two divers.

+1 I’ve never had a problem diving out of a compact, even when the car was returned with 50 lbs of sand 🤡

Also, unlike BON, many shore dives sites have a local dive shop right there (e.g. Cas Abou, Lagun, Playa Kalki etc.) so there is no reason to lug a supply of tanks around the island. Using a local dive shop, especially for the first time, usually gets you up to date local knowledge of the dive site, safe place to park, gear up and leave stuff while diving. Well worth the price of a tank or two.

We rented a Hilux pickup from Noordstar when we visited at X-mas 2019. They were great to work with. They left the truck in the airport parking lot for us with the key, the parking ticket and some cash to pay for the parking. We had to go to the office the next day to sign the paper work. Left the truck in the short term lot when we flew out. The total for a ten day rental was around $550 IIRC. Would totally recommend them.
