After giving it much thought, we've decided to narrow down the scope of the trip (on the much appreciated advice of the more veteran SB'ers) and just spend most of our time in the Keys, we are planning on stopping off temporarily (at most two days in the Venice area, along with an one day stop over in Pensacola- the drive from Indiana to Venice straight through would be a bit much).

So any suggestions for a first time Keys diver and tourist?

Medic Diver- With all due respect to the south alabamians up there northwest of Gainesville... SKip to Day seven Key LArgo. Pepsi-cola has some nice diving due to the artificial reef program up there but it is not what you would call "tropical diving"

I would go straight to the Keys a lifetme's worth of stuff to see at 25' to 60'.

Pomp there are some wrecks there in the 60+ range.

WPB drift the reefs for a couple dives 50 - 60'.

Jupiter Drift the reefs for a couple dives 75 - 85'.

Or before this trip get a AOW and some deeper dives and hit the Deep Wrecks in the Keys and in Pompano along with the reef diving.

That is the way I would play it.

Then later in the year with a Drysuit - - dive the wrecks in Pensacoldla.

That's the way I'd do it anyhow.

Oh yeah.. and DO NOT GET MARRIED!! (just doing my part as a guy there..)
