I have only been diving in one of the places you listed, and that was ambergris caye belize. Like most have stated, the diving on the reef right off ambergris was good but the even better diving is more south. If you decide to go to belize dont think your options are only limited to either ambergris caye or caye caulker. There are a few other resorts out on the atolls where the best diving is. Glovers, turneffe, and a few others I cant think of right now.

Sounds like you have only been to carribean locals. If you are locked into that direction, Grand Cayman east end or Little cayman. i also agrre with the Tuqs and Caicos suggestion. I would skip Belize, personally.
You might consider a south Pacific trip to mix things up a bit. Fiji maybe. depending on where you go in the Pacific, there tends to be a lot more sealife than the Carribean.

P.s. I missed that yu were thinking about Hawaii. That would be a good place to start in the Pacific. Kona is very nice and the diving is good and convenient. We are going back in December.
maui also has some nice diving.

I'm going back to Kona this June. To me, its tops! Non-stop flight, no passport issues or mosquitoes, plus mantas turtles and dolphins! Whew! I can't wait!
