I have been having a hard time finding the battery kit which included the o-ring for my Suunto Cobra 2.

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

I get mine (Cobra, I think it's the same) from my LDS, a Suunto dealer.
Part 413194, actually labeled for Vyper. The battery is the same, I'm 95% certain the rest is the same for Cobra2

The kit contains battery, O-ring, and retaining ring which has a rep for not standing up to repeated removals. Costs about $20-25.

It's a usable-replaceable battery, so the kit is supposed to be available to the public.
Try your local Suunto dealer. Or try San Diego Scuba Diving Store and Training: Ocean Enterprises - Ocean Enterprises

Has anyone had any experience with those e-bay sellers? I just don't know if I trust it.
I know I can buy the battery anywhere, but its the o-ring that is hard to find.

Your profile says Phoenix, AZ. The Suunto web site show three authorized dealers in the Phoenix area. I'm curious about how service compares in different areas: Do stores in your area either stock the battery kits, get them in reasonably quickly, or are they slow enough that it becomes too inconvenient (multiple trips, etc.)?

Thanks for the input. I may try the ebay thing as well as a few of the LDS's. Probably a good idea to have a spare in my save a dive kit.

It is relatively easy to buy a CR 2450 battery (3.0 v >550mAh), and an o-ring, it is a standard BS 026 shore 70 (31.47mm by 1.78mm). The same o-ring is used in the EON, COBRA and VYPER, they just use different batteries. Costs $1.05 for 17 o-rings from
O-rings Online Frameset.

I hope this is the right place, and I apologize as this is my first post.

My wife dives an Atmos Aeris Elite, wrist-mounted, and I dive a Suunto Cobra 2 console. I was replacing the battery in her units today, and planning to replace mine soon. As I was looking at hers, and the battery compartment, and mine, they appear identical. Both units use the same battery, and both compartment instructions are the same. Is it possible that the o-ring that comes in the kit for hers will also work in mine?

Thanks, in advance, as this is my first post here, although not a new diver, been certified since '85, PADI DM since 2000.
