Will be in Pompano beach area this weekend and was really looking to go out on a boat Sun. Weather is not looking good right now and looking for a plan B if the charter cancels.

You're not diving on Sunday in the ocean in Pompano (28 mph winds).

Plan be would be to get to Blue heron bridge an hour before the 9:27am high tide. Viz may be down, but atleast you'll be diving. I'd recommend the snorkel trail out front because even in cruddy viz, you can always see something cool on the bolders. It's about 50 mins north of Pompano and you can do your research in this florida section under the blue heron bridge trolls thread for tanks, weights, rentals, flags, meet & greets, and very excellent places nearby to have brunch.

Did I mention it's free to dive there ???

The forecast does not seem to show 28 mph...

Most of us look at Windfinder for a rough guess and then jump over to the NOAA wave III models which are source direct and zero it in.

I'm with you,,,,I'd rather be diving this weekend too but charters won't run in 5 -7fts (higher at the inlet)

Vis has been 2ft at BHB all week, and they are stull dumping tons of water from the canals so unless that stops asap, I dont see a big improvement by sunday.
