My partner and I are considering a dive trip for Thanksgiving week in late November. We will probably be at 30-40 dives each with our AOW by that time. Our next trip is Cozumel, but we are looking to see if we can fit in another destination this year. We are based in US and are open to traveling abroad. Wanted to know what recommendations people have at this time of year?

Of course from NYC all the Carribean (including Bonaire) + Yucatan or Belize. Baja California can be considered (Cabo Pulmo + La Paz for example) in November.
More exotic, Colombia on the Carribean side.
From Europe the most popular and easy to go dive places include Egyptian Red Sea, Djibouti, The Maldives, Seychelles and less known Oman.

Curacao/Bonaire
I am looking at Bonaire. It seems like a solid option. Do you have any recs for places to stay?

Is Maldives more a liveaboard kind of destination or is a resort generally fine?

I’ll be in Galapagos in November.
I worry that the currents in Galapagos may be a bit intense for us seeing we are fairly new.
