Boyfriend and I are looking to do our first dive in the Jupiter area this Sunday, January 11th in the AM. We would like to see Lemon Sharks if there is a dive geared towards that. Otherwise any wreck or reefs will do. We would also like to lobster and spear if dive permits. We dive almost every week down here in the Pompano and Boca areas but are looking to move to Jupiter so any advice would be appreciated. If any of you would like to join us or are already doing a dive, we would love to meet new friends. - Thanks

I would highly recommend Jupiter Dive Center Jupiter Dive Center, Scuba diving lessons at a PADI 5 Star facility, daily scuba diving trips in Jupiter, Florida.. They're the only charter I go out with in Jupiter. I would love to join you on Sunday, but have other plans (non-diving) for that day. However, there are several of us SB'ers who are planning a JDC dive the following weekend (Sat., Sun., and Mon.). You are more than welcome to join us on any or all days then! Let me know. JDC is great for accommodating whatever kind of diving you want to do. If you want to hunt, they will drop you where the hunting is good; if sightseeing or looking for sharks, they'll drop you at the wrecks and/or reefs where they've been spotted. You can't go wrong with JDC.

Looks like JDC does a 3 tank dive which requires an Advanced C-Card and/or Nitrox. We dive advanced all the time, but never got around to taking the class. We are also both Nitrox certified. Do you think they would allow us to do this dive? And do you know the cost of the trip, I can't find it anywhere on their site and their contact us is only for complaints. - Thanks

anybody diving with JDC this sunday morning?

I dove with JDC on Tuesday. Water temps were 75-76 which is very warm for this time of year. We dove the deep ledge at 120, then Center Street, and finally the wreck trek. No Lemons. Current was about 1 knot and we need more than that plus cooler temps to bring the lemons in.

Today I got a report from my commercial hunters that they had 7-8 lemons on the deep ledge and temps dropped a bit by 2 degrees. I'm a spearo so I also want the colder temps to bring in the gags and blacks.

I'm diving Saturday, but going private so we can search some more sites. We'll see what happens with the currents and the temps which are both key.

If you are on the 2 tank boat, then I'll be your dive master. Look for the short redhead!

and I thought I was the short redhead......................LOL
we will see you there :-)

Amazz, TCMav and JDC ~ Thank you for a great trip on Sunday. It was great to meet you guys, so much friendlier than some of the people we meet down this way. Will diffinitly be diving again up that way. Doug, thanks for the lobsters, they were GREAT. Hope to see you all soon.
