We plan to drive down from Tampa area to Venice this weekend to mostly go shelling and fossel hunting on the beaches. Maybe do a shore dive or two, but not sure yet.

I am just looking for a place to crash in the back of our Suburban for Saturday night and be able to make a pot of coffee on a propane stove Sunday morning. I would prefer not to be interrupted during the night by a policeman knocking on my window.

Any suggestions????? I saw one campground and they wanted $50/night for a primative campground. thanks for your help. If you are ever in the Dunedin/Tarpon springs area I will take you out spearfishing.

There is Oscar Sherer state park close to Venice...$24 a night. Most of the other campgrounds seem to want as much as a hotel it seems!

There is a guy on this board that goes by nokomisbob. A while back he was offering rooms at his house in venice for $30.00 a night in case you don't want to sleep in the truck. I probably still have the thread if you need it.
