I totally agree with the guy before who recommended that private boat. My honey and I spent our honeymoon chartering a boat for one couple. It had a captain and a cook! We dove 1 to two different islands every day, and got to stop at plenty little neat island dive bars here and there in the BVI's. In fact, Sydney's Peac eand Love bar on one BVI was great. YOu make your own drinks and even keep your own tab and pay at the end. How vacationy is that?!?! The captain, a diver master, even found us a little secluded beach ALL TO OURSELVES for an entire afternoon, something your lady might really like. HMMMM... It's not much more than a regular vacation, but I find you get SO much more variety. It's unbelievable!!! In fact, if you're really a cheapo, you can bareboat it where you are the captain and cook.

Good luck ... I'm in the same dilemma as you. I have one week and don't know where to start.

Well...to tell you the truth...I looked into that boat thing. Sorry dudes...I dont make that kind of money. Granted a regular vacation to an island isnt cheap....but at least you can do some on top (SI) type things like sitesee that is free.

Im sitting in Germany right now and when I get back home I am going to call Delta and see what I can do with my miles. To send Delta an email is a waste of time. They NEVER answer your questions....always refer you to a useless web area.

Anyway....Im looking at the Sibonne if we end up going to T&C. And a couple of places if we go Barbados direction...but man a long flight. One other option.....but no diving.....back to IRELAND . oh yea...... just rent a car and drive. Love Ireland I do.

Continental Airlines has a dive club that goes every year to Casa Del Mar in Coz and the reports are always good. This year the Delta dive club is joining them. I'll bet they know something others don't. Ya think?

Actually, National Geographic had a recent article, with their as-always stunning photography, on scuba diving off the coast of Ireland.

Ohhhhhh dont tempt me lads.....Ive been to the green isle a number of times. Can ya dive with a shot of Paddy's in your hand?? Does that violate PADI (no pun) or BSAC rules!!!????

If you're a drysuit diver, it doesn't appear that diving off Ireland presents a problem. Not for me though (note my chosen pseudonym).

There is some reference about diving and beverages in the article.

And, one of the photos from this article also appears in this month's Sport Diver magazine - in the tips for photographers section on photographing people.
