Curious where everyone in the area gets their regs and whatnot serviced? I had issues with my regs after both of the last two maintenance cycles, and am potentially looking for someplace new in the Seattle area or on the eastside to service my gear. Don't want to name and shame or anything because I'm not 100% convinced they did anything wrong, just a hell of a coincidence and I've never actually done a proper look around for who does the best work in the area on this stuff.

So, if anyone has recommendations or shops you like, please chime in.

When Arny (I'm terrible with names) was still working I took them to lighthouse in Tacoma. Now I just give them to UW Federal Way when the regs NEED to be serviced and get them back in a few weeks. Set maint intervals are stupid and mostly pointless. Get them serviced when they start to show signs of wear or when you feel they need it (not right before a big trip).

Arny is/was a good man and a great manager at the Tacoma LightHouse store... I also worked for Harry Truitt as the manager for the Lighthouse Kent and Seattle stores back in the day and can say that Arny was/ is top notch.

But also just want to mention that our very best reg tech EVER was Roy Gresham... RIP Roy.

I send my regs to Don and Octopus Gardens

Clearly its been awhile for me. When did he retire?
October I believe.
I believe it was November when John and Katherine took over Octopus Gardens.

Don is experiencing some health problems and the shop, while still successful, was too much for the time and energy required. Or so I've been told.
