I have been looking into alot about decompression theory and bubble fomation. I have read alot of great material about DCI and the effect of depth on the body. My real question is, I am looking for a website that has the decompression tables on it. I want a "Table for Dummies" as kinda a quick card. I don't want another computer program. What I need is something I can give my depth, fo2, bottom time, and it will tell me when to make stops, what mix to use if necessary, and how long I need to decompress at each level. I want plan a dive on a table or graph before I go in and rely on a computer. I like to have everything written out before I go down, just to be safe. Does anyone know a website with this information. If nothing else does anyone know a computer program that is free with everything programed in. I really do not want to spend mucho $$$$ on software so that is why I am looking for a table.
Thanks,
ADAM

The easiest and best way to get to where you want to go is to take a class like Tech 1 from GUE, but if you're simply looking for info then here's some links. What you'll find is that you won't be able to relate deco generated from tables, like V-planner, to your computer. Computers are basically useless for deep diving and proper deco, unless they have a gauge mode, IMO.

Good luck,

Mike

BTW, you can get yourself into a lot of trouble if you don't understand why the planners spit out what they spit out. Blindly following computer generated tables can get you killed, so keep that in mind.

Totally agree with Mike-

Reading and *understanding* this stuff will put you far ahead of the rest of the 'deco lobbers' that throw out bits of info and run. What you ultimately have to do is become a student of deco theory and do some 'self testing' and find what works best for you and what you believe in. Deco is a very personal issue and probably the only one DIRists consider to let 'personal preference' slide.

Here's another site with some of georges deco lectures and graphics illustrating his points

Follow the GUE tech series through Tech 3 and really be prepared and feel like you are ready.
