Site: Zenobia (wreck)
Region: Larnaca District
Country: Cyprus

Dive: 963
Dive time: 58 minutes
Maximum depth: 29.9 metres

Dive: 964
Dive time: 55 minutes
Maximum depth: 29.1 metres

The Zenobia got even better! The first dive of the day was my 100th on the wreck. I did the upper lorry deck and then saw a turtle! My first in Cyprus. Spent a lot of time with him while he munched on algae at 25 metres. Then saw the biggest fish I have ever seen in the Mediterranean by some margin, an amberjack that must have been getting on for 1.5 metres long. For those that don't know the region, these sightings are extremely unusual. What a way to celebrate 100 dives on the wreck!

Just wondering if non-solo divers look at this thread? If it's just us, then we are online pariahs just like we are on the dive boat :)

If others do look, what do you think? Are we mad, bad or just a bit different?
We don't comment in the GUE channel and they don't come in here. It's an uneasy truce.

Dive: 965
Site: Chapel Rock
Region: Famagusta District
Dive Time: 70 minutes
Maximum Depth: 23 metres

Back to the Chapel for the last dive of my trip. I was in the water by 0630. Beautiful time of day to dive. Lionfish may be an invasive species, but they are a wonderful model. Would you believe I saw another turtle and an eagle ray! My first elasmobranch in Cyprus. Neither was hanging around for a photo. The wildlife gets better each time I visit. Anyway, αντίο Κύπρος.

Hi,

I don't last that long like scuba Jenny !

Two relatively short dive this morning. Last night we came late at 22h00 following a 2 hrs drive and this morning i wake up around 4 am to do another 2h30 min drive to reach the dive site.

On the way driving i had a bit of stomach issue i was not sure if i will do the dive or not.. It went fine at the end but bit of lack of energy i might think.

I first encountered my first problem that was quickly solved i didn't pair the right transmitter cause now i have two of the same brand. The swap was an easy fix !

Second problem in the water, broken strap fins, i try to sort it out but i need to stop the dive to fix it on land. Thanks to my save a dive kit took my a bit of time but i sort it out with a tie wrap.

Beside the viz was max 5-10 feet but the water was like 72 F. This is quiet nice being on the north.

I don't plan to dive next week and neither the week after cause we are travelling. I assume my next dive will be for my sidemount course at the end of the month.

Be safe.
