1) Where did you do it? I did mine in Utila, Honduras with Utila Dive Center
2) Would you recommend the company? and Country? Absolutely. I would recommend Utila Dive Center! The CDC and staff instructors provided superb training and outstanding support during our IDC
3) How expensive was it? I did my divemaster and IDC. It cost me a little over $2,000 including all my PADI fees.
4) What was your work prospects like after it? Great. If you say you've trained at UDC in Utila, a lot of doors open for you. Soon after finishing my IDC, I started working at the Lodge/BICD. I've also since worked in the Maldives as well.
5) And finally What was/is the diving like in that country?! The diving in Utila isn't the best. Not going to lie. But it does offer great training. Plus, dives on the Northside of the island are quite fantastic - steep walls and sea mounds, soft coral, hard coral. Plus Utila is one of the only places in the world where you can see whalesharks all year round.
Over all, I would recommend anyone contemplating doing their DM or IDC with UDC.
