Hello,

I ordered a super nice Waterproof W8 Wetsuit online and being an idiot I dove with it before deciding it is too big so now I can't return it. What is a good equipment sales forum that I can sell it on? I would like to sell it on scubaboard of course, but I haven't made the required 25 posts yet so not an option right away. Guess I need to spend more time on scubaboard but I'm retired in Hawaii so I spend all my free time diving, or whatever it takes to keep my wife happy, and then she gets sick of me and tells me to go diving so I have a pretty good system going. Any suggestions on where to sell my wetsuit will be appreciated. I have tried my local craigslist and facebook marketplace but haven't had any luck yet.

Thank you,
Brent Bowman

Fleabay is always an option. Or head over to the pub and after few interactions you'll have the requisite posts. Or throw up some equipment reviews, etc.
Thanks for the response, I appreciate it. Guess I will have to be social and start posting on the board more. I would have guessed that there would be more places where you could post scuba gear for sale since there seem to be lots of divers and they tend to buy lots of gear from what I see, but maybe not?

Thanks again,

Yes, there are a lot of divers and yes there is a lot of used gear. However, there are also tons of scammers out there - so one needs to be careful when selling on the on-line platforms. So having protections as a seller and a buyer is the difficult part.

Thanks, I have had more than my fair share of experience with online scammers. I used to own a website that sold hearing test equipment and other hearing related stuff, and you wouldn't believe the scam attempts I got with that over the years and from what I found there is pretty much no one interested in catching the scammers even when it would have been easy. Then we sold pretty much all of our possessions from a big house and mini farm on craigslist and facebook when we moved to Hawaii which elicited constant online scam attempts but fortunately we were able to avoid them all. One strange thing I have noticed about posting the wetsuit and a couple of other things on craigslist and Facebook in Hawaii is that I haven't gotten a single scam email for some reason?

Thanks again,
Brent Bowman
