careful diving off Horizons, can have a nasty current there at times, especially if the wind if right. It's a awful long walk to the car from the WEST entrance of the canal! Also, I heard someone died there last year. hard to believe, since it's a tad shallow, but none the less...

Yeah, you need to be very aware of the wicked canal current, and carry a safety sausage just in case you get sucked in. It's hypothesized the current (among other things) was a factor resulting in the accident there

I might dive Sandwich beach. I think Aqua Center from sandwich is having a BBQ with games and dives. I stopped in last weekend - they seem like some friendly guys. I also did my checkout dives in Hathaway pond. I had fun.

What time is this starting? Sounds like a good time.

"Honolulu Barbeque on Saturday, June 24th . Dive all day, cookout all afternoon! Dives start at 10:00 AM, Games and Festivities start at 2:00 PM, Grilling starts at 4:00 PM… Dive, Eat, and meet new dive buddies. Everyone is welcome... "

ScubaStew and I did two tanks at STB today. We had the whole ocean to ourselves;) , but that still didn't help our lobster hunt. Seemed like they were few and far between with a few shedders and lots of empty lobster habitat. Well, not exactly empty -- crabs, mussels, small fish, blah, blah. Did get a bit of a start when the largest striper I've ever seen u/w surprised me after I picked my head out of a hole. I know things look bigger u/w, but I swear it was over three feet long and big and fat. He followed us the rest of the dive and reappeared during the 2nd. Lots of flounder, too.

Bobby-in-Mass,Posseidongirl and i went out with Boston Harbor Diving Co. today, we wen to the wreck of the City of Salusbury where we did a very nice dive this wreck is pretty broken for the most part, but today we explored a section of the wreck that is pretty much intact, very nice site, plenty of fish huge sea raven some pollock and some Lobsters, each of them came back with keepers to the boat, i came back with a couple artifacts.

For the second dive we head up to the outer brewster, and there this guys were able to fill their bags with bugs, lots of keepers down there.

Vis is great in the bay-rain will keep boaters and fisherman away. Almost perfect-just watch for those pop thunderstorms!
