My first Scuba course was in July 1967 at Skindivers Cove in Bellevue, Washington. The Instructors name was Spence Campbell who worked as a Nurse at Virginia Mason in the Hyperbolic Chamber. This is the Emergency Re compression chamber in Seattle area.
The first dive was at Alki Point West Seattle Wa. The next school was Navy 2nd class in Wa. DC. same with 1st class divers training. Next was 1974 in Divers Institute of Tech. in Seattle which were just copies of Navy Schools. I was also in US Navy Res. Seattle.
The first Job out of the Navy was with Marine Services Unlimited in Seattle, 1974-5 I've been a commercial diver (construction) for 32 years as well as Piledriver Foreman.

i knew i wanted to dive when i saw cavediving in natl geo back in the arly 90's. actually came to it just this year.

Started Oct 2003.
Live in Hawaii and thought diving would be the perfect sport to get into.
First place to dive was O'ahu. Have only dove on O'ahu and Cozumel (my favorite).

Some day will get to dive other places.

Certified in 1992 in Marquette, MI, though NMU, instructor Robert Schmidtt.

Dad was a diver with the MSP Dive Recovery Team, always facinated me to hear him talk about diving.

Certification dives were in Lake Superior off of Presque Isle. (COLD!!!!)

December 25, 2005 was my first post certification Dive (started my OW on December 22, 2005)

I always wanted to dive and when my wife brought me to Jamaica as a christmas gift, i figured, what better time...

first dive, Negril, Jamaica...........

Started diving in Spetember of 2003
Had always been interested but somehow just never got around to it. Then when my father passed away and I was going through some of his photos, there was one of him scuba diving at age 80! I figured what was I waiting for and signed up. Been addicted ever since. Thanks Dad!
First dive in Lake George, NY.

Grew up watching Lloyd Bridges on Sea Hunt (in black and white, of course).

well, very first was '94, but my instructor died & i didn't complete ow. bit of a long story, won't go into it here...

however, always wanted to, got divorced last fall. did my ow this jan in florida - what a great place - did checkouts in river, ocean, and springs! my first non-checkout was in devil's den with my instructor, since we had just finished my checkouts.

been obsessed ever since.
