Thank god I ate just before I opened this thread.. I just had an omelet of FOUR eggs, some onion, leek, parika (aka peppers) and a bit of ham. lots of protein, low on calories, plenty of stuffed. Works for breakfast too.
While diving I do however preferr something righer on energy cause you DO burn energy while diving and I hate being low on it.
A bit of omelet, some pancackes and some meat along with some cheese and coffee is a good start :)

What I DONT do before diving however is overeat. Itll only land you in deep doo-doo with regards to motion sickness, even if youre not prone to it. For some reason people tend to GET prone to it on a overfilled stomach..

Depends on when the boat is leaving. In Fiji at AI resorts and with the boats usually leaving on Fiji time, I ate a regular breakfast of eggs and toast and whatever else was available. During the month I spent in a condo diving Bega lagoon, I didnt want to get up early enough to eat a normal breakfast and so I ate like I did in Coz and Kauai where the boats also left on time, too damn early!!! :) That would be some fruit and/or toast that I could eat on the way to the boat or on the boat on the way out. Including bananas that I often ate on the boat for breakfast and sometimes during the SI as well. I have eaten bananas on dive boats many many times and no catastrophes to date.

Ive been eating banana under water.. But it was a shore dive!!

Rudy's BBQ Chop*, Potato and Egg breakfast taco!

*chop is chopped brisket mixed in a spicy bbq sauce.

Oatmeal, very light milk on it, raisins, brown sugar, with a side of toast. Or.....Toast with peanut butter plus a banana. I get seasick easily so no eggs, bacon, sausage....no greasy stuff.

No seasick issues so nothing special. Usually toast or bagel, couple poached eggs for protein. And always a banana before the boat :). Oh, and I top it all off with Diet Mountain Dew, my version of morning coffee and my only addiction (other than SB of course).

I'm prone to seasickness.
If I'm at a resort which does early 8am, two tank dives, I eat fruit and a banana.
If I'm at a resort which has later in the morning dives, I'll eat a normal breakfast. As long as it is not greasy.

Today I had: egg white omelette with zucchini, mushroom, tomato, and turkey sausage cooked in coconut oil, a handful of roasted & unsalted nuts, and kona coffee with a little raw honey. Water on the drive out to the quarry.
