And I have a similar adaptor on the Conshelf XII first stage I'm trying to sell in the B/S/T forums :) Except, mine only has two LP ports and one HP port. I had to buy the adaptor to get the new SPG to fit, before I bought a new first stage. The adaptor stayed on the reg, becuase the new first I bought had the newer, large hole for the SPG. However, I just bought another old Sherwood first, and it has the same size LP and HP ports, and it has an SPG. If you are looking for an older first stage, I have that conshelf XII first, just overhauled (1 dive!) and I can include an SPG. I have some Sherwood seconds too, but they need to be serviced, which should cost $25 at most if you do it yourself (I got a quote on parts from a Sherwood dealer).

There is one other possibility, and that is that this is an adapter for a US/metric conversion. I have seen those too, but most likely it is the adapter that you are discussing above.

hm....so I guess that maybe the adapter the adapter is on the wrong port. There is only one port labeled HP and its not the one with the adapter on it.

Any idea why there is 5 ports on this reg? The Aqua Lung website says there is 1 HP and 3 LP ports on the reg.

After careful consideration I vote for port adapter.
