Whats the weather been like in san diego lately? How about the swell forecast? Visibility?

where in San Diego are you asking.....

wreck alley

Just got back from Marine Street via my boat along cruised along wreck alley both ways ...Hydro was out earlier and couldn't read the other dive boat name as we passed...was overcast then broken clouds later in the day. At low tide the swells were very unpleasant ..around 2:30pm the tide was in full swing and the swells laid down quite nice ...while diving the sun broke through and the end of the dive was phenominal water temps was ~60 deg ...had a 7 mm was actually a little too much since the beginning of the dive had strong surge due to the incoming tide ...by the end of the dive I was quite comfortable.

Supposed to rain tomorrow and tuesday so stay clear till friday ..

im going to coronado on friday, wreck alley saturday and sunday for my wreck class.

Saturday at Wreck Alley the swells were about 5 feet at 14 sec intervals. The Yukon has some surge at depth, the Ruby E had more.

Sunday out boating the swells were 6-8 in the Pt Loma area and shorter intervals. I can only assume that the conditions were similar a bit north at Wreck Alley.

Today we have a really strong onshore breeze and some pretty good surf at La Jolla shores not sure about Wreck Alley.

Things can change day to day, you just never know what you are going to get, which is pretty typically everywhere.

There are no big storms forecast for this week, at least not yet. A little rain moving thru tomorrow but out by Weds.

It's winter in San Diego so temps are generally 50s 60s during the day 30s 40s 50s at night depending where you are, the water temp this past weekend at Wreck Alley was 55-56.
