I'd like some info on the leopard sharks and when/where they come to la jolla. I've caught them a couple of times in the summer by coincidence, but i'm never sure when they come through. Also, where exactly is leopard shark point?

Also, when do the soupfin sharks come through? I dove last year when they were here, and I didn't see any.

Leopard sharks are best seen in front of the Marine Room Restaurant at La Jolla Shores in the late summer. Now is probably a good time to start looking for them. The theory I've heard is that the females come into the warmer waters while gestating. If your going ton Catalina anytime soon you can make an appointment to snorkel at the USC dock in Fisherman's Cove at the Isthmus, there are more Leopard Sharks and better visibility.
