Please help.

Ok, here's my dilemma... I have to come up with a special dinner for a newly declared vegetarian and I want to DIR. :)

I don't know much of what's allowed for the DIR VEGGIE eater.

Is seafood, ie lobster, oysters, clams, crableggs allowed?

Thanks in advance.

BTW I guess it's jello for dessert right? :D

If you're going for full GUE diet, no seafood, no chicken. The poor boy's gonna starve to death.....

Give him a steak when he starts turning pale and losing his strength :)

Actually no :( . Your typical jello is very non-Veggie-DIR and is for us meat-eaters only. Gelatin comes from dear old Bessie.

No more jello... at least not for eating.

Jello is made from gelatin. Gelatin [as the Jello customer service people put it so bluntly to a vegetarian friend of mine]

"Jello comes from the hides and hooves of animals!"

Is he gonna start to resemble a "Cow" or a "Manatee" eatting grass all the time?

He'll get thin and pale probably.

1st dish-

You could open with a potato or pea soup....there's also 'veggie' egg-rolls which can be fried in 100% veggie oil.

main dish-
You could then fo a light pasta or stir-fry....

finish him off-
And for dessert, I love cream cheese stuffed french toast...hey it's not just for breakfast folks.

This is what I try to prepare whne we have a vegetarian over, which isn't often, so this is really my only menu for those people

Is cheese even ok?

If he is doing if full out this is out because french toast has eggs in it. :D
