I run a Charter boat on Lake Erie and I wanted to get some feedback on what people might expect, like to see or have seen on charters, things that have stood out on previous charters that would make you go back. Any comments or feedback would be appreciated.

Hi Chris.

I'm from the Detroit area and charter boats for my local group once or twice a year on Lake Erie.

One thing that has made a big difference for us is that we've run into a couple Canadian charter operators or crew that smoke non-stop. It's not a Canadian thing, just the only place we've run into this. Anyway, I've been asked not to book future charters with those operations my club members.

The only other thing I can think of at the moment that stands out is a cheerful crew that knows their stuff.

Me too... I appreciate hearing as much LOCAL info that I can get! It makes the dives go smoother.

Well, since I don't smoke and I have new crew I think I'm safe there ;) Good to know none the less. Local info is very important. Especially on the dive site. I always keep a copy of "The Great Lakes Diving Guide" by Cris Khol handy. I also have pictures and videos available of the sites I go to. Not just in Erie but in Huron too.
