What wet suit for diving in Florida?

Yes... you may also want to get an inexpensive 1mm 0r 0.5mm skin suit if you plan to dive in South Fla. or the Keys in May.
 
Where exatly are you looking at diving in Florida? The north Florida springs are 72 degrees year around and while a 3 mil suit will work for a while if you plan on more then 20 to 30 minutes of bottom time you might need something a little heavier. On the other hand if you're diving in south Florida the water temp in May will most likely be in the upper 70's to low 80's and a 3 mil will be just fine for some extended bottom time.

I am going on a trip to Florida in May and was planning on getting a 3mm wet suit. Will that be a good chioce?

Florida is a big place and water temps vary a lot in May, location, depth and bottom time are all a factor. I use a 3 mil year around in the keys but get chilled somtimes in the winter. Will be fine in May. Northern Gulf was 57 degrees at depth last week. I dove a drysuit. Will probably not swith back to a wetsuit untill June.
