what to do with flashlight?

Similar to the last two posts. I picked up a bunch of aluminum carabiners from the hardware store. I think they are a few dollars a piece. Light for travel but exceptionally useful. I always have a few spares on the d-ring to loan out or use for something. Just attache to the flashlight and to the BC.

I have a smaller backup light that I just keep in a pocket unless needed.
 
With my big light I have it set up attached to a lower and upper D ring with rubber cords. It's close enough to my body so as not to flop around and I don't have to hold it or attach it to my wrist when not using it. I hold it when entering from a boat. My wife figured it out as she is the carpenter in the family.
 
I think easiest way is to use a Bolt snap clipped off to a D-Ring and then held in plce with a bungee or rubber from inner tube. as seen below
