What do you do with the dry suit inflator hose, if you decide to dive wet?

Is it OK to just tie it off, so as not to dangle, and leave attached to the first stage, or, do you remove the hose and plug the 1st stage port?

I like to leave mine on when diving wet. Then when my buddy isn't looking, I sling my primary regulator behind my back, grab the drysuit inflator hose and hold it in my hand. Then I poke him to get his attention and wave the hose around like my second stage regulator fell off, and watch his expression! If he's a GOOD buddy, he hands me his regulator so I don't drown, while he tries to figure out what happened to my second stage....

Just a thought!
