Hey all!

I have a two year old DC500 Maxx kit I'm trying to sell (I'm not diving anymore). Hasn't been used a huge amount and everything still works and is in good condition. Any opinions on a fair price?

I like the DC500 but it has been made technically obsolete by the DC600 (a small improvement with some drawbacks) and then by the DC800. On the other hand, I see DC310s and DC100s sell on Ebay every week, and that may be good for new divers who want to try a dive camera without spending a lot of money. Also see old Sealife film cameras sell.

The DC500 I saw sell too cheap was listed without a photo, even tho it sounded in good shape. The ones that sell for the most include full promo descriptions copied from Sealife's original site info. Hehe, I've been helping my bud replace his flooded DC310 and we finally got him set up with a DC500.

I don't know of a way to search old Ebay sales records, but I do have some on my old Watch list. Let me see what I have...

Here is a DC500 with strobe and flashlink that went for $325 SeaLife DC500 Underwater Camera - eBay (item 320285315065 end time Aug-20-08 13:48:31 PDT)

DC500 no strobe that without a photo of it for $121 Sealife Camera DC500 Like New, Used Once - eBay (item 180268906123 end time Jul-30-08 08:09:10 PDT) We would have jumped it but that was before his got flooded.

DC500 Elite set with broken camera $152 SeaLife DC500 Underwater Camera Elite - eBay (item 320279113144 end time Jul-28-08 15:57:32 PDT) I guess someone wanted the strobe as the rest has little value without a working camera.

DC500 with digital strobe: $280 http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=160273556168

You'll learn more about what exactly was included and what info was offered as you look at each one of these.

DC500 with strobe: $355 SEALIFE DC500 UNDERWATER DIGITAL STILL/VIDEO CAMERA KIT - eBay (item 300253012202 end time Aug-29-08 11:56:16 PDT)

Dc500 Pro Currently bid at $300 Underwater Camera - SeaLife DC500 Pro Kit - eBay (item 280264373250 end time Sep-13-08 12:13:29 PDT)

DC500 with 2 strobe, poorly listed currently at $310 Sealife Underwater Digital Camera with Two Strobe Light - eBay (item 290259587786 end time Sep-14-08 17:38:22 PDT)

DC500 with strobe from a seller with one one feedback point currently at $101 SeaLife Underwater Digital Camera and Accessories - eBay (item 280265337604 end time Sep-19-08 08:33:16 PDT) but 6 days bidding to go

I may not have described them fully or correctly, but that gives you can idea of what's been happening on Ebay the last month of two.

Thanks... that really helps!!!!! I'll check those out and look at selling it there as well as on the board.

The active ones have ended at higher prices. Be sure to look all those over to get an idea. The key is to post good pics and sales pitches...

Do a search and select show only "completed listings" from the left hand side.
