yeah good catch, the build quality seems suspect... ill keep my eye out for more and better pelican alternatives... i need to give the commuity something back... even if it as boring as travel cases.. lol
 
A got 2 - 1510s because they're the max carry on size.

yeah i was actually thinking that a 1510's could work, but if im gonna dive i dont mind checking baggage. The problem is the 50 pounds. Its a catch 22, the bigger the box, the more crap u can put inside due to size, but also the less stuff that you can get in due to weight.

There does appear to be some good roto-molded case options, these are tough and a bit lighter. Im thinking if i can find a good sized case with wheels and a handle for about 12-15 pounds, that shoudl leave plenty of open weight.
