All the Atomic reg's I've breathed have been excellent.

If the B2, Z2 combo is out of your pricerange, I'd consider a Z2, Z2 combo. Not that mixing and matching first and second stages is a big deal.

Like others have said I prefer having octo that are the same as my primary. That said the atomic octo is expensive. My solution was to buy two complete regs. Of course diving doubles was why I went this direction. That said I like traveling with a spare reg. Instead of going with the B2 you might look at a Z2X and a Z2. Many shops are blowing out the Z2s for descent prices ($300 or less).

I also would not hesitate to look for an atomic octo on the secondary market, especially a Z1 which can often be had for under $200 (first and second stages). I have bought a few for stage bottles.
