I will go to Sardina and rent some 50 lt cylinders containing O2 and He. I don't know if they have 200 or 300 bar. What kind of valves will I find? What kind of adapters will I need? Google said nonsense so I ask the professionals, that's you.

I am sure that if you contact a diveshop on Sardinia (Sardegna, the Italian island, right?), they'll be able to answer all your questions. I believe it's mostly DIN in Europe, especially for tech cylinders.

He is talking about 50lt tanks not regular scuba tanks.

Sorry, my bad. Misread the OP. Still, any supplier could probably answer your question.

Here it is:

In Italy, they "should" be UNI 4412 for helium and UNI 4406 for O2.

They superficially look like the CGA 580 and CGA 540 valves we use in North America. I have not compared them in detail though. Call your Italian supplier, at least you know what to ask.

Great, thank you. This information will probably help me. Great forum indeed.
