Not just strange ... but a very awkward way to view information ...

Yeah, I never click "New Posts". I just pick and choose the ones I want to read, since most of the threads here are...well...repetitive. (padi vs. naui, gue bashing, dir bashing, we love dir, etc)

I do ... I like to pick and choose which threads to look at.

I don't use the "New Posts" feature. Too many threads I have no interest in ... and it's waaaaaaaayyyyyyy too cluttered with MOF and other such nonsense ...
