My favorite dive activity is Spear fishing. A very close second is exploring and finding things that most divers overlook. I also like to show divers that don't have a chance to get in the water much a good time. Show them all the small and hard to find things.

Just trying to stay alive while underwater.

First, *breathing*

After that, I'd say photography. Every dive becomes a scavenger hunt - even in lakes!

Watching fish and critters! I can watch the activity on a small coral head for an entire dive, its like a little city with everyone busy doing their daily duties. Some of them are so funny they crack me up, I laugh, then I have to clear my mask. :D

Next favorite thing, video or photo of the cool things critters and fish do... then I try to find other divers nearby to show them what I found.

Favorites? I don't exactly know because I enjoy so many different things about diving. In no particular order...
1) Video or take photos. Unlike Robint, it doesn't have to be a fellow diver for me to want to show them what I've found. I'll buttonhole any poor, hapless victim who will stay still long enough for me to drag out videos and pictures!
2) Observe and document what I see (not necessairly pix and vid...I also take REEF surveys, etc...)
3) Scavenge...I prefer the term "treasure hunt"...in local lakes and rivers.
4) Just Explore! It's always fun to "see what's out there".
5) Share the experience with good dive buddies.

One of my absolute favorite things to do underwater is nothing . . . Literally. I love to hang, absolutely motionless, and feel myself gently rise and fall with my breathing. That feeling of weightlessness and balance is simply lovely.

I enjoy taking pictures but then sometimes I just want to dive and not be bothered with it.

Just diving and being in the water with my friends is what I love the most.

while we're at it my least favorite is night diving but I am working on that.... If only I could night dive during the day...

I think just diving is the overall favorite...but it is mood driven in me. Sometimes going some place where the diving is easy and fun and the water is WARM and a "deep dive" is 60 feet. Love night dives....there is just something about that circumstance that is totally cool.

On the other hand...I guess if I had to be pinned down to one thing, I have always been a military history buff...so wreck diving on military shipping has always had my interest. It's a curse I tell ya! Had to invest all that money into training and gear to be able to do mixed gas and deep dives. Planning this summer to do the Oriskany and then up to the Carolinas to do the Uboats.

The one place left on my "places I must dive" is Truk Lagoon. I am targeting next year as going there on vacation for a week or so of diving.
