 Whale sharks ... Coolidge, and the mating cuttlefish:eyebrow:
Want to get back to Lady Elliot Island while the turtles are hatching... we have so much here in OZ! :blinking: Norfolk Island, the Yongala.... sooooo many dive sites......

Chuuk and Bikini are both on the top of my some day list. Bikini Atoll just has a lot more "some" in it than Chuuk.

But the question was about a dream dive; in other words a dive that will never happen but oh if it only could. My dream dive would be a week diving with Tiger Woods on his scuba-outfitted yacht "Privacy" at Bikini Atoll. To quote Tiger on scuba diving, "The fish don't know who I am." That's a Tiger that would be fun to get to know in a place where history sleeps beneath the waves.

I wonder if it would be possible to just " Borrow" his boat for a few days... He's got enough to worry about without having to cart me over to Bikini. :crafty:

I think Chuuk Lagoon, or Bikini Atoll for me. Wrecks are my passion, reefs are just something to see in between wreck dives. :D

That's my 10 year goal. I just started diving this year and I am working toward a trip to Chuuk for my 50th birthday.

My dream dive would be in my bathtub with Jessica Alba....

If that wasn't possible then probably Chuuk.

Bora Bora. I've read the articles and seen the pictures. Staying in a "hut" at the end of a dock. Swim off your front porch. Pristine reefs. Beautiful sealife.

Great Barrier Reef areas where shell collecting is permitted.

My dream dive would be laying line in a virgin cave.

It won't happen, but it's a pretty cool fantasy.

Truk Lagoon sits in my mind, but I'd really like to go dive the USS-Tide off of Normandy. That was the ship that my father was on when it got blown up by a mine the day after D-Day.

I'd like to do it while he's still around.

Hi... I see that your dad was on the Tide. So was mine, his name was Dale Bartz, he was a machinist mate in forward engine room. Made it off and came back to Nebraska where I was born in Nov. 1945. Did you ever get to make the dive? I have lived in the Philippines and often thought about going back to Normandy and diving on the Tide just to see what was there and maybe make some connection to my dad's past. He was really busted up when it hit the mine, both legs and his arm were shattered. He never talked about it much. Anyway, just wondered if you made it there.

Richard Bartz
Cebu, Philippines and ashamed to say I have only made a couple of introductory dives!

I think I was spoilt doing the Coolidge the day after I got OW..

I long for the day I am a good enough diver to go to Chuuk / Truk and dive the deep wrecks safely and properly. There's something about wrecks that just magnetises me.

Ice diving in the Arctic / Antarctic also fascinates me, some of the shots I have seen sub-ice just blow my mind.

After that.. maybe some caves, but i've never done one so have no idea what fascinates people. I do however have a very strong desire to dive some caves with some of the GUE forum regulars just so I can learn from them, and also to have a good time.
