anywhere I could recover some artifact and put it on my fireplace mantle. It doesn't have to be of value, just unusual enough for me to recognize a personal value.

I think my tops would be Truk lagoon and the great barrier reef!! Heard alot about both!

Would love to take a submarine ride and visit hydrothermal vents, or "black smokers" at one of the midoceanic ridges. Way more interesting to me than Moon or Mars or whatever is out there in space.

Hands down...Galapagos.

We're just getting started, so all I really have to go on is what I've read here, seen in magazines, and watched on video.

I've snorkeled in Okinawa and Hawaii many years ago, and I'd like to get back to both of those places for some real diving. We're booked on an excursion to Beqa Lagoon, Fiji, in 2010, and we're really looking forward to that.

Closer to home, I'd like to do some diving off Catalina Island, and up in Monterrey Bay. Once we have more experience and the right training, maybe check out some of the wrecks near San Diego. I think it'd be awesome, too, to observe the Giant Pacific Octopus off the coast of Washington State.

Eventually I'd love to dive on the Oriskany, and head further into Florida so Debbydiver can show us her favorite dive spots in her area.

I suspect, too, that the more I read and the more I learn, the more places I'm going to add to the list. For now, though, Himalaya Bay, Mexico, is the first step.

My list of dream sites is long but topping the list would be the Galapagos Islands, Guadalupe Island, The Socorro Islands, Clipperton Island and many of the Northwest Hawaiian Islands including Ka’ula. However, my budget and wife’s desires may only allow for a return to Kauai and more diving on Niihau and Kona for more manta dives.

I’m not a fan of diving wrecks unless they provide interesting marine life or have significant great historical value and they ended up on the bottom as a result of action or accident.

1. In a cage with a great white battering around it. This has been my dream since I was a little girl.

2. The Galapagos. Oh, the isles of Darwin!

Truk Lagoon and Bikini Atoll. Close to home would be the Dunderburg.
