I currently have my crotch strap fairly loose. it probably sags about 2'' below my wetsuit. and to be completly honest I don't even know if i need it. So, should i adjust it tighter? up until it touches my wetsuit? how tight?

Ok, that is my dummy question of the week.

Thanks!

When I am diving a single tank, it was loose and I never noticed it. with doubles, I needed to really cinch it up tight.

Is this a crotch strap on a BP/W or a BC?

Jeff

Pull it up until your voice changes then back it off an octave or two. Lol. Sorry couldn't resist. I would suggest it should be up to your wetsuit assuming your wetsuit isn't too snug. I am also assuming your diving a bp/wing setup of course.

When geared up with exposure suit, pull of on the top of the strap. There should be about 1-1.5 inches of slack.

The strap is tight enough to keep the rig from riding up on the surface of when in a head up position, but loose enough to be comfortable. If you're scooter diving, you can tow a diver while he/she holds the strap.
