The connector in this image is on the output end of a not-specifically-for-scuba 40MPa compressor. I was hoping to use it to fill a scuba tank.

FWIW the tank in question is only used at home during regulator maintenance, i.e. checking IP etc., so I don't necessarily need to be too strict about filtration and air quality.

Does anyone know what this connector is called? More to the point, what type of converter would I need to hook it up to a yoke valve?

The quick connect is pcp, it's a paintball connection. I will tell you right now the brass Male end will not stand up. It peens over from the balls and will be hard to disconnect.
Spend the extra money and get SS ones, brass females are ok but SS is better,
