I am the one looking to purchase. Not sell. I am asking as I do not want to lowball the seller, but offer them a fair price. As my experience with buying and selling compressors is limited, I figured I would ask a forum that has a great deal more knowledge than I have.Just put it to ebay And you get what it is worth.
Thank you. I did find out the compressor is from 2013, and the date on the air tower, says 6 15.Could be anything from replacing the filter to a complete OH. I'd not pay above $1k and only when I saw it run and timed a tank fill.
If it spins freely and makes wooshy noises, it would be worth $200-300 on a chance. If it winds up needing a final stage and a new filter housing, you paid more than a good uses unit. If it doesn't, you did well. The compressor looks very bad outside. Nobody knows how it looks inside. Can you make a test run? Best together with an expert. Then you know if it works at least. There may be dammages which will make the compressor worthless.
And even if it works we do not know the operatin hours.
It is realy difficult to give you a price in this situation.
I do not agree. Good operating conditions AND good looking outside would be $2k.Good operating condition would be worth around $2k.
