I was thinking about buying a Dyron 14mm Wide-angle Lens (DY.UAL67II) but it seems to be discontinued. The guys at Bluewater Photo where it was available don't even answer emails. What is the best choice now?;)

You need first of all a base adapter to attach any lens
Dyron makes one Adapter M67 for Canon WP-DC38 | DyronStore | Underwater accessories as well as
Inon also make one INON MountBse [Find compatible mount base form camera brand]
Dyron lenses are cheaper than Inon but according to some lower quality
For Inon you are looking at an UWL-H100LD with an 0.6X
Once you put the Dyron 67mm adapter you can put a whole set of other lenses with 67m thread such as INON M67, Epoque DCL30 or Dyron 20 or 24 however the Dyron give you max 80 or 90 degrees whilst Inon gives you 100 and Epoque 112
Inon have the best quality glass of the group and allow adding a dome that takes the whole field of view to over 140 degrees

Thanx. Yes, of course you need this M67 adapter from Dyron. But what happened to Dyron 14mm lens? It had quite good reviews.
So, apparently, there is only Inon left now (btw, what is the quality of Epoque?)
What is your preference: Inon mountbase or Dyron M67 adapter? This Inon M67 lens seems to be the UWL-100 Achromat lens

Epoque lens are OK not same glass quality of INON but do the job. They are not expandable like the INON that can add a dome port

For what concerns choice between M67 and bayonet I have both, M67 on a compact video and bayonet on the still
the bayonet adapter is by far easier to handle underwater compared to screwing and unscrewing the M67 especially as the lenses we are talking about here are heavy (530+ grams INON 600 for epoque)

In short the epoque + Dyron set up is cheaper (50$ for the INON base adapter and $100 more for the lens compared to epoque) however you can't add a dome port and the M67 is an hassle compared to the bayonet of the LD

I would spend the additional $150 and go with bayonet

I have reviewed a couple of manufacturers and it seems that you are perfectly right that Inon is the lens to buy. Screwing on a 500 gram lens can be quite a problem.
Any idea where to get one at a right price? Divervision seems to have quite nice prices but there is a duty to pay on top.
btw nice photos:D

Sorry for replying late, I have been on the move lately.
I am based in the EU but sometimes I do some shopping in the US with a little help of some friends because of the prices. The cheapest prices I have found for Inon UWL-H100 28LD so far are from German or Austrian shops.

Inon offers worldwide warranty however shipping cost may be high. Check your options carefully for a few euros your local shop may be an option

I have received an answer from Dyron. Actually they are discontinuing this lens - Dyron 14mm Wide-angle Lens (DY.UAL67II)- but still have some on stock.
What is your idea how it compares to Inon UWL-H100 28LD? At least its price is quite interesting.
