Could it be that different parts of the world have different ideas of what muck diving is?

probably...cause I have never heard of diving in layers of silt, unless you are recovering bodies in a lake or something...

But, Do It Easy says he is afraid of fish, so maybe there is something to the glory of muck.

The advantage is your team/partner/buddy stays close because a lot of the time they are touching you because they can't see you.

... ummm , dude, around here we got a whole different terminology fer' that... *muck* seems a little too, errr... clean a definition ta' me... :rofl3: :rofl3: :rofl3:

For some reason, da' lakes and ponds around here are suddenly starting to seem downright tropical in the 'pristine beauty' qualities after the "bad viz" ya' just gave me...

Oh wow, I've been so wrong. I thought it was like Tulamben, Bali, where there is much macro biodiversity and fairly shallow. I like currents and walls and big stuff better, myself. Another "muck diving" example (I thought) would be hunting Mandarin's off Sam's dock, in Palau.

It's all a matter of interpetation of the term "muck" in the area you dive, and/or the local lingo used by the local divers.

It's where you have to place your SPG to your mask glass to read it
That's still good vis. When it's there and you can't see the holder for the SPG it's getting bad.
